Create a Point Grid Plan with Multiple Lines and Points
Activity Steps
- Create the first grid line. See Create a Point Grid Plan.
- Select the Line/Point tab.
- To create parallel lines:
- Select Create Multiple Lines.
- Enter the Number of Lines.
- Enter the Offset Distance between the lines in metres.
- Select the degrees to Offset towards.
The two options depend on the angle of the line drawn. For example, the degrees for a horizontal line are 360 and 180. If 360 is selected, the parallel lines are above the drawn line. The degrees for a vertical line are 270 and 90. If 90 is selected, the parallel lines are to the right of the drawn line.
- Select whether to Offset Alternating Lines.
If checked, points on the even line numbers are offset in the Offset towards direction by half the distance of the point spacing.
- Specify the Point Spacing in meters.
- For the Labelling settings, complete the following fields.
- First Point Number
- First Line Number
- Point Increment
- Point Prefix
- Point Suffix
- Integers in Sample Number
- Select whether to Reverse Labelling.
- Select whether to Change Label Direction Alternating Lines.
If checked, the labelling direction change for each alternate line.
