Configure Database Connections

  1. Open the Fusion Portal.
  2. Click the settings icon. Settings Icon
  3. Select Fusion Connections.
  4. Set Select Connection and Connection Name to Central.
  5. Enter your SQL Server name.
  6. Set your Authentication as Database or Windows Authentication.

Note: Windows Authentication requires the API to be configured on IIS. See Configure the Fusion API on IIS.

  7. Enter your API URL (typically the IP address of the machine where Fusion is installed). To verify your machine's IP address:
    1. On the Fusion Portal home screen, click the QR-code icon.

The API URL field displays your local IP address embedded in the URL.

    2. Alternatively, open Command Prompt (cmd) and use the ipconfig command.

The Command Prompt displays your local IP address.

  8. By default, the API Port is 4589. You can use this port to configure the API.
  9. Select whether SSL Enabled is On or Off. Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) is typically enabled when Fusion is installed directly on the server.

Note: A signed certificate must be installed on the server to enable SSL.

  10. Click Save Connection.

The message Fusion Connections have been successfully updated displays.

Note: If you need to configure a Fusion Remote Database, follow the same steps.
