About Isatis.neo User Guide
This Isatis.neo User Guide teaches you how to get the most from Isatis.neo. It details the interfaces,
To become familiar with the structure of Isatis.neo and with its use, it is strongly recommended to beginners to run one or two case studies before running the application on its own data set.
The User Guide contains several sections:
What you can do with Isatis.neo, important tips on learning the software and how to get appropriate help while using it.
Overview of the Isatis.neo’s interface and the different types of data and variables you can deal with. How to create an Isatis.neo project, which kind of data you can import and how to manipulate them.
Presentation of advanced concepts such as: geostatistical sets, scenes, color scales, projection, georeferencing.
For the Isatis.neo file system management through the import/export tasks, the access to the different explorers (data, scenes, color scales...), the display and help.
For more advanced operations: data creation, management and manipulation for pre and post-processing, as well as calculation of new variables.
Everything you need to know about (geo)statistics for an efficient use of the functionalities: statistics calculation, exploratory data analysis (including variography), contact analysis...
For estimation (through deterministic methods and different kriging options) and simulations.
Isatis.neo has some optional functionalities which can only be run with specific license or authorization. They are gathered in this directory.
A preconfigured workflow for an optimized way to Mineral Resource Estimation and simulation, including Ore Control and Reconciliation (formerly Minestis, now embedded into Isatis.neo).

Isatis.neo integrates a standard writer processor. All used parameters and graphics produced in the different menus of Isatis.neo can be summed up and sent to the Reporting Window. This report can be seen as an audit file or a help to the writing of a study report.
Journal Files are used to run long or repetitive jobs in batch mode or in semi-interactive mode. You may create journal files by recording the successive actions run on your data set and the associated parameters. Once a journal file has been constituted, you may run it using the interactive interfaces of Isatis.neo or externally by command lines.
A set of case studies is developed in this part. It is mainly designed to get familiar with the software and gives some leading lines to carry a study through and to improve your geostatistical knowledge by following detailed geostatistical workflows.
Basically, each case study describes how to carry out some specific calculations in Isatis.neo as precisely as possible. The data sets are located on your disk in a sub-directory, called Datasets, of the Isatis.neo installation directory.
You may follow the workflow proposed in the manual (all the main parameters are described) and then compare the results and figures given in the manual with the ones you get from your test.
The Technical References part presents you details about the methodology and the underlying theory and equations about geostatistics.
How to install Isatis.neo, what are the system requirements, how to get the software and a license.
