Add Packages to a Discrete Unit Batch

Security Note: You need the Allow discrete unit maintenance security right in the Supply Chain user group security rights group for this activity.

Activity Steps

1. Open the Discrete Unit Batch.
2. Update the Package Date.

   Must be between the Batch Start Date and Batch End Date. Default: Start of the previous shift, if a Default Shift Definition is defined for the packing process flow; otherwise defaults to the current system date and time.

3. Update the other fields in the Packages Creation field group as required.

   Note: See Create a Discrete Unit Batch of Packages for descriptions of these fields. The Packing Process Flow and Sample Template cannot be changed.

4. Click Create Packages.
5. Confirm the package creation.
6. Click Save.

   Note: If the Package status definition exists, the packages are assigned the initial status. This status definition controls whether the packages are editable and selectable. See Status Definitions.
