Change the Product of Packages

Security Note: You need the Allow discrete unit maintenance security right in the Supply Chain user group security rights group for this activity.

Activity Steps (for multiple packages)

1. Open the Package Explorer or Discrete Unit Batch.

   Note: The product of multiple packages can only be changed together if the packages have the same package type.

2. If using the Package Explorer, find the packages. See Find Packages.
3. To select multiple consecutive packages:
   1. Click the first package.
   2. Press and hold down the Shift key.
   3. Click the last package.
4. To select multiple non-consecutive packages:
   1. Click the first package.
   2. Press and hold down the Ctrl key.
   3. Click each of the other packages.
5. Right-click a single package or the selected packages and select Set Product To and the required product from the menu. Select from the products and brands defined on the Material panel of the Solution Explorer that have their Product Basis set to Packages Only or Both and that are in the Allowed Products defined for the package type.

   A confirmation message displays.

6. Click Yes.
7. Click Save.

Activity Steps (for a single package)

1. Open the Package.
2. Update the Product. Select from the products and brands defined on the Material panel of the Solution Explorer that have their Product Basis set to Packages Only or Both and that are in the Allowed Products defined for the Package Type.
3. Click Save.
