Conduct a Stocktake of Packages
Security Note: You need the Allow discrete unit maintenance security right in the Supply Chain user group security rights group for this activity.
Activity Steps
- Open the Discrete Unit Location, Rail Siding, Truck Location, Barge Terminal or Port Location.
- Select the Discrete Unit Stocktakes tab.
- Right-click in the Stocktakes field group and select New from the menu.
The packages at the location display in the Packages field group.
Note: Packages that are loaded on a despatch at the location do not display.
- Update the Applicable Date if required.
- Enter Comments if required.
- Update the following details for each package as required.
- Number Of Units—If a package is missing, set Number Of Units to zero. Packages with zero units do not display in the Package Explorer.
- Net Mass—If Preserve Tare Mass is unchecked for the Package and the net mass is changed to a value that is greater than the gross mass, MineMarket updates the gross mass to match the net mass. If Preserve Tare Mass is checked and the net mass is changed, the gross mass is updated to be the net mass plus the tare mass.
- Gross Mass—Must be greater than or equal to the net mass of the package.
- Location—If entered, MineMarket moves the package to that location.
- Discrete Unit Division—If entered, MineMarket moves the package to that discrete unit division.
- Observation—Select from the Stocktake Observations list items defined in the List Editor.
- Click Save.
Note: If the Discrete Unit Stocktake status definition exists, the stocktake is assigned the initial status. This status definition controls whether the stocktake is editable and selectable. See Status Definitions.
