Recycle Packages
Security Note: You need the following security rights in the Supply Chain user group security rights group for this activity.
• Allow discrete unit maintenance
• Allow discrete unit recycle
Activity Steps
- Perform one of the following steps:
- Open the Package Explorer and search for packages. See Find Packages.
- Open the Discrete Unit Location, Rail Siding, Truck Location, Barge Terminal or Port Location. and select the Packages tab.
- Select one or more packages.
- Right-click the selected package(s) and select Recycle from the menu.
The Recycle Discrete Units screen displays.
- Complete the following fields.
- Date—Date on which to recycle the discrete unit material back to bulk.
- Destination—Select from the locations that are destination locations of any packing process flows for which the source location of the packing process flow is the location where the packages are located.
- Check Selected for each package to be recycled.
- Click Accept.
- Click Save.
A reverse transaction is created, and although the package still exists and the number of units in the package remains the same, the mass of the package is zero.
- To undo the recycling of a package:
- Right-click the package and select Undo Recycle from the menu.
- Click Save.
