- To create the truck despatch via the Truck Despatch Explorer:
- Update the truck Name if required.
- Ensure that a Truck is assigned to the truck despatch. Select from the trucks defined on the Transport panel of the Solution Explorer. This field is read-only if there is a loading transaction, unloading transaction, discrete unit movement, or opening survey on the truck despatch.
Note: The truck despatch cannot be loaded until a Truck is assigned.
- Update the following fields as required.
- Planned Product—Select from the products and brands defined on the Material panel of the Solution Explorer.
- Despatch Number
- Registration Number—Registration number of the truck associated with the truck despatch. Default: Registration number of the selected Truck. If the default registration number is overridden, the manually entered value is retained for the truck despatch, even if the selected Truck is later changed. Example: The Registration Number field can be used to record a trailer registration number instead of a truck registration number. If the Truck is changed, the trailer registration number is retained.
- Account Number
- Transport Operators—Select from the truck operators defined on the Transport panel of the Solution Explorer.
- Click Save.
Note: If the Truck Despatch status definition exists, the truck despatch is assigned the initial status. This status definition controls whether the truck despatch is editable and selectable. See Status Definitions.
