Assign Service Trips to a Shipment

This activity facilitates the creation of multiple service trips and assigns them to the shipment. Use this activity only if bulk material will be loaded directly from the service trips to the shipment, or from the shipment onto the service trips. See Direct Loading Between Despatches.

This activity presumes that a despatch order has been added to the shipment. See Add a Despatch Order to a Despatch.

This activity updates header fields on the service trips, but does not add the despatch order to the Despatch Orders tab. This scenario assumes that the shipment is the fulfilment despatch. For bulk direct loading, only the fulfilment despatch should have the despatch order on the Despatch Orders tab.

Security Note: You need the Allow new barge despatch from template security right in the Despatches user group security rights group for this activity.

  2. Find the shipment. See Find Shipments.
  3. Right-click the shipment and select Assign Barges from the menu.
