Specify the Banking Details for an Organisation, Company or District

Security Note: You need the following security rights in the Organisations domain user rights group for this activity:
• Allow the user to maintain bank accounts
• Allow organisation maintenance (for organisation bank accounts)
• Allow company maintenance (for company or district bank accounts)

Activity Steps

1. Open the Organisation, Company or District.
2. Select the Banking Details tab.
3. Right-click in the Bank Accounts table and select New from the menu.
4. Complete the following fields as required.
   • Account Name
   • Account Number—The maximum length is 25 characters.
   • Bank—Select from the banks defined in the Bank Editor.

     The Bank Code displays.

   • Bank Branch—Select from the branches for the bank defined in the Bank Editor.

     The Branch Number displays.

   • BIC—Bank Identification Code, used to identify the organisation's bank account in the ERP system.
   • Currency—Select from the currencies defined in the Currency/Exchange Editor.
   • Default Account—Whether the bank account is the default one to be used for the organisation. If only one account is specified, the account is automatically set to the default account. Only one account per company can be flagged as the default account.
   • Correspondent Bank—Correspondent bank that provides services for this bank account. If specified, the correspondent bank displays in the invoice XML. Select from the banks defined in the Bank Editor.
   • Correspondent Bank Branch—If specified, the branch and its address display in the invoice XML. Select from the branches for the bank defined in the Bank Editor.
   • Comments
   • Tracking Type—Select from the Account Tracking Type list items defined in the List Editor.

5. Click Save.

   Note: If the Bank Account status definition exists, the bank account is assigned the initial status. This status definition controls whether the bank account is editable and selectable. See Status Definitions.
