Unlink a Linked Despatch Order

Important:

• An invoiced linked DO cannot be unlinked.
• If a parent despatch order (PDO) is unlinked, its child despatch orders (CDOs) are also unlinked. If a CDO is unlinked, it is removed from its PDO and becomes a regular DO.
• If the configuration of the contract link has the Contract Link Evaluation set to Manual, after a linked DO is unlinked, a new linked DO can be recreated manually.
• A linked DO in a trade with a closed status cannot be unlinked.

Security Note: You need the Allow the user to maintain despatch orders security right in the Contracts domain security rights group for this activity.

Activity Steps

1. Perform one of the following steps:
   1. On the linked Despatch Order, click Unlink.
   2. In the Despatch Order Explorer, right-click the linked despatch order and select Unlink from the menu.
   3. On the Despatch Orders node of the linked Sales Contract or Purchase Contract, right-click the linked despatch order and select Unlink from the menu.

   A confirmation message displays.

2. Click Yes.

   The original linked despatch order is deleted and then recreated as a non-linked despatch order.

3. Click Save.
