Allocate Packages to a Buyback Action

As an alternative activity, you can allocate packages from the open action directly to create a buyback action. See Create a Buyback Action for a Repurchase Contract.

Security Note: You need the following security rights for this activity:
Allow contract maintenance in the Organisations domain security rights group
Allow discrete unit maintenance in the Supply Chain user group security rights group

Activity Steps

  1. Open the Repurchase Contract.
  2. Select the Repurchase Actions tab.
  3. To allocate packages directly from the open action or the summary row:
    1. Select the open action or the summary row.

If you click the summary row, the Packages sub-tab displays the packages that have not yet been bought back.

    2. Select the Packages sub-tab.
    3. Highlight packages to buy back.

Note: To highlight multiple packages, you can hold down Ctrl or Shift while clicking, use the Highlight Next Rows field, or right-click and select Highlight All or Highlight Batch from the menu.

    4. Right-click the selected packages and select Allocate To Buyback » [Buyback Action] from the menu.

Only the latest buyback action displays in the menu item.

  4. To buy back packages by searching for packages:
    1. Select the buyback action.
    2. Select the Packages sub-tab.
    3. Right-click in the Packages table and select Search For Packages To Allocate from the menu.

      The Repurchase Package Search displays.

    4. Enter the following search criteria as required.
      • Start Date—Limits the search to packages where the latest activity date is later than the selected start date.
      • End Date—Limits the search to packages where the latest activity date is earlier than the selected end date. The latest activity date must be earlier than the date of the open action.
      • Package Name
      • Product
      • Package Type
      • Location
      • Batch
    5. Click Search.

Only packages that were allocated to the open action and have not yet been bought back display. You can choose to Show Analyte Group to view assay values of all analytes in a selected analyte group, or all analytes for which there is data.

    6. Check Selected for the required packages.

The Total row displays the total values for the selected packages.

    7. Click OK.
  5. Click Save.

MineMarket updates the Gross Mass and Net Mass of the buyback action, and reprocesses the snapshot. The Action Date becomes read-only.

On the Package for each package, the activity history includes the Buyback Repurchase activity with the date of the buyback action. The packages are no longer 'in repo' and can be associated with a despatch order.

  6. To deallocate packages from the buyback action:
    1. Uncheck Allocated for the packages.
    2. Click Save.

MineMarket removes the Buyback Repurchase activity from the package history.

Note: Deallocation is only possible if the Buyback Repurchase is the latest activity. For example, you cannot deallocate packages that have been loaded onto a despatch after they were allocated to the buyback action.
