Allocate Despatch Orders to a Contract Rate

This activity has the same effect as if you Enter a Service Charge for a Despatch Order.

Security Note: You need the Allow the user to maintain despatch orders security right in the Contracts domain security rights group for this activity.

Activity Steps

  1. Open the Service Contract, Freight Contract or Finance Service Contract.
  2. Select the Contract Rates tab.
  3. Select the contract rate in the Contract Rates field group.
  4. Select the Despatch Order Allocation tab.
  5. Right-click in the Despatch Orders table and select Allocate from the menu.

The Despatch Order Search screen displays.

  6. To apply a date range to the search, check Include Date Range and enter the Start Date and End Date. The search is limited by the Planned Despatch Date of the despatch orders.
  7. Enter the following search criteria as required.
    • Organisations—Select from the organisations and companies defined on the Organisations panel of the Solution Explorer.
    • Companies—Select from the internal companies defined on the Organisations panel of the Solution Explorer.
    • Locations—Select from the locations defined on the Supply Chain panel of the Solution Explorer. For service contracts, the Service Location Type of the contract rate is also considered. For example, if the service location type is At Loading Location, only the loading location of despatch orders is applicable to the search.
    • Products—Select from the products and brands defined on the Material panel of the Solution Explorer.
    • Parent DOs / Child DOs—Whether to search for parent despatch orders (PDOs) or for child despatch orders (CDOs). If set to PDOs, the search results include standard despatch orders (DOs), split parent despatch orders (SPDOs) and consignment parent despatch orders (CPDOs). If set to CDOs, the search results include CDOs of aggregated parent despatch orders (APDOs) and CDOs of CPDOs. See Parent and Child Despatch Orders.

Note: APDOs cannot be associated with a transaction. Neither can the CDOs of SPDOs.

  8. To include a text string in the search criteria:
    1. Select the method to Search By from Despatch Order, Contract, Organisation, Product or Despatch Order Status.
    2. Enter the Search Text. Text searches are case-sensitive with SQL databases with a case-sensitive collation and with all Oracle databases.
  9. Click Search.

The despatch orders matching the districts of the service, freight or finance contract (if specified) and the search criteria display.

Note: If the Despatch Order status definition exists, only despatch orders with a selectable status display. See Status Definitions.

  10. Check Selected for each required despatch order.
  11. Click OK.

MineMarket adds the contract rate as a service charge on the Service Charges tab of each Despatch Order.

  12. To remove the service charge from a despatch order, right-click the despatch order and select Remove from the menu.
  13. Click Save.
