Reorder Material Flows

Within process flow categories, process flows display alphanumerically, that is, there is no order within each category.

The process flow reorder interface allows the user to control the global order of process flows. This is independent of the process flow category. This order is crucial in controlling the order of processing transactions that occur at the same time, when entered using a Transaction Editor.

Process flows that have been referenced by an archived transaction cannot be reordered.

When moving a process flow to the top, if any other previous process flow is referenced by an archived transaction, then the movement of the item is prevented. Likewise, when moving a process flow to the bottom, if any subsequent process flow is referenced by an archived transaction, then the movement of the item is prevented.

Example: Consider two process flows, one going into a crusher (ROMS_CRSH), and the other going out of the crusher (CRSH_COSP). The transactions in and out of the crusher are recorded by shift at 06:00:00. The ROMS_CRSH flow must occur before CRSH_COSP to ensure the material is loaded onto the crusher stockpile before being taken off.

Security Note: You need the Allow process flow maintenance security right in the Supply Chain user group security rights group for this activity.
