Create a Waste Material

Security Note: You need the Allow waste material maintenance security right in the Waste Materials domain security rights group for this activity.

Activity Steps

1. Select the Material panel in the Solution Explorer.
2. Expand the Waste Materials node.
3. Right-click a waste material category and select New » Waste Material from the menu.

   The Waste Material displays.

4. Complete the following fields as required.
   • Name
   • Product Basis—Select from Bulk Only, Packages Only or Both.
   • Description—The maximum length is 255 characters.
   • Colour—Select from a palette of basic colours, preconfigured web colours and system (Windows) colours. In the palette of basic colours, right-click a colour in the bottom two rows to customise a colour with hue/saturation/luminosity or red/green/blue values.
   • Product Type—Select from the Product Type list items defined in the List Editor.
   • Material Type—Select from the material types defined on the Material panel of the Solution Explorer.
   • Main Analyte
5. Click Save.
