Add a Waste Material to a Mine Source

When a waste product is added to a mine source, it creates a "special" stockpile related to the mine source for use in waste process definitions. When a transaction editor for movement by truck type is configured, and a waste process flow added to it, only mine sources that have waste products defined can be seen as source locations when entering transactions using the transaction editor. The waste process definition only allows waste "stockpiles" to be selected on a mine source.

A mine source must already be created and configured, and the waste material created.

Security Note: You need the Allow stockpile product maintenance security right in the Stockpiles domain security rights group for this activity.

Activity Steps

1. Open the Mine Source.
2. Select the Details tab.
3. Set the Product Type to Multiple Product.
4. Select the Material panel in the Solution Explorer.
5. Expand the Waste Materials node.
6. Drag the waste material into the Additional Products field group.
7. Enter the Expected Total Quantity in bulk cubic metres for the waste material.
8. Click Save.
