Set up a Special Sample Category

Security Note: You need the Allow special sample maintenance security right in the Samples domain security rights group for this activity.

Activity Steps

1. Select the Quality panel in the Solution Explorer.
2. Right-click the Special Samples node and select New » Sample Category from the menu.

   The Sample Category displays.

3. Update the Name if required.
4. Select the Analytes tab.
5. Add analytes or analyte groups as required:
   1. To add a single analyte definition, expand the Analyte Definitions node and drag an analyte definition into the Analytes tab on the Sample Category screen.
   2. To add all the analytes from an analyte group, expand the Analyte Group node and drag an analyte group into the Analytes tab on the Sample Category screen.
6. Update the Unit for each analyte definition if required. Select from the Proportion units defined in the Unit Conversion Editor.
7. Click Save.
