Change the Location of a Stockpile

A stockpile cannot be moved between locations if the stockpile is:

• The loading or unloading stockpile in a transaction
• The specified default loading or unloading stockpile in a transaction template
• A specified allowed loading or unloading stockpile in a transaction template
• The specified default loading or unloading stockpile in a despatch template
• Used in a despatch plan
• Within a stockyard

A stockpile can be moved to a different stockpile category after its initial placement even though it may have had transactions performed on it (for example, to move a stockpile to an inactive category).

Security Note: You need the Allow stockpile maintenance security right in the Stockpiles domain security rights group for this activity.

Activity Steps

1. Select the Supply Chain panel in the Solution Explorer.
2. Expand the Supply Chain » Business Areas node.
3. Locate the stockpile to be moved.
4. Perform one of the following steps:
   1. Drag the stockpile to the required location.
   2. Use the Move Stockpile screen.
      1. Right-click the stockpile and select Move Location from the menu.
      2. Select the location or stockpile category to which the stockpile should be moved.
      3. Click OK.
5. Click Save.
