Create a Waste Stockpile

Ideally, a waste stockpile should exist within a waste location, or within a stockpile category under any location.

Security Note: You need the Allow stockpile maintenance security right in the Stockpiles domain security rights group for this activity.

Activity Steps

1. Select the Supply Chain panel in the Solution Explorer.
2. Expand the Supply Chain » Business Areas node.
3. Right-click the waste location or stockpile category and select New » Waste Stockpile from the menu.

   The Waste Stockpile displays.

4. Update the stockpile Name if required.
5. Select the Current State tab.
6. Enter the Opening Date. You cannot make transactions to or from the stockpile before the opening date.
7. Update the UOM if required. Select from the Volume units defined in the Unit Conversion Editor. Default: The UOM of the waste location.

   Note: Other fields display, but are not required for waste stockpiles.

8. Click Save.
