Specify the Geometry of a 3D Stockpile

Security Note: You need the Allow stockpile maintenance security right in the Stockpiles domain security rights group for this activity.

Activity Steps

  1. Open the 3D Stockpile.
  2. Select the Geometry tab.
  3. Complete the following fields.
    • Width
    • Length
    • Width Resolution—Resolution level on the width.
    • Length Resolution—Resolution level on the length.
    • Y-Axis Display Start—Position along the Y-axis from which to start the display of the 3D stockpile.
    • Y-Axis Right to Left—Whether to display the stockpile with the y-axis from right to left. Default: Unchecked.
  4. Specify the Stacking Limits:
    • Lower Limit Y—Lower limit to which the 3D stockpile can be stacked in the Y-direction.
    • Upper Limit Y—Upper limit to which the 3D stockpile can be stacked in the Y-direction.
    • Lower Limit X—Lower limit to which the 3D stockpile can be stacked in the X-direction.
    • Upper Limit X—Upper limit to which the 3D stockpile can be stacked in the X-direction.
  5. Define the shape of the base of the stockpile:
    1. Right-click in the Base Points table and select New Base Point from the menu.

      Together, the base points define the shape of the cross-section along the X-axis.

    2. Enter the X and Z coordinates of the base point.
    3. Repeat steps A and B to add other base points as required.
  6. Click Save.
