Deactivate or Activate a Package Group

This package group state can be used in search criteria.

Making a package group inactive can also be used when a package group cannot be deleted; for example, if there are still packages with activity states that reference the package group.

Rejecting a discrete unit package group also marks it as inactive.

Security Note: You need the Allow package group maintenance security right in the Supply Chain user group security rights group for this activity.

Activity Steps (via the Package Group Explorer or a location)

  1. Open the Package Group Explorer, Discrete Unit Location, Rail Siding, Truck Location, Barge Terminal or Port Location.
  2. Find the package group. See Find Package Groups.
  3. To deactivate the package group, right-click the package group and select Deactivate from the menu.

    MineMarket unchecks Active on the Package Group (Bulk) or Package Group (DU).

  4. To activate the package group, right-click the package group and select Activate from the menu.

    MineMarket checks Active on the Package Group (Bulk) or Package Group (DU).

  5. Click Save.

Activity Steps (via the package group)

  1. Open the Package Group (Bulk) or Package Group (DU).
  2. To deactivate the package group, uncheck Active.
  3. To activate the package group, check Active.
  4. Click Save.
