Change the Default Analytes Displayed for Sample Data Entry

The default analytes displayed depend on the selected sample template for the sample.

Sample quality may be edited via the Sample Explorer, when creating a Discrete Unit Batch, or when despatching material on a Train, Truck Despatch, Service Trip, Shipment or Lot Despatch. For example:

  • For a sample edited via the Sample Explorer, sample data entry is on the Quality tab.
  • For a despatch by train, sample data entry may be on the Samples, Package Samples, Lot Samples or DU Lot Samples tabs.

Activity Steps

  1. To display all analytes, right-click in the sample analyte table and select Available Analytes » All Analytes from the menu.
  2. To display the analytes specified in the sample template or transaction template, right-click in the sample analyte table and select Available Analytes » Default Analytes from the menu.
  3. To display the analytes specified in the sample template or transaction template and any other analytes that already have a value, right-click in the sample analyte table and select Available Analytes » Default Analytes And Analytes With Values from the menu.
  4. To display a different selection of analytes:
    1. Right-click in the sample analyte table and select Available Analytes » Filtered from the menu.

      The Analyte Selection screen displays.

The Selected Analytes table lists the analytes displayed for sample data entry.

The Analyte Definitions table lists the analytes not displayed for sample data entry.

    2. Select an Analyte Group to limit the Analyte Definitions to those analytes within that analyte group.
    3. Select analytes and click the arrow icons to move the analytes between the Analyte Definitions and Selected Analytes tables.

Note: Hold down the Ctrl key to select multiple analytes.

    4. Click OK.

Note: When entering a lot sample or DU lot sample for a single despatch, the filtering is saved for the despatch. If you or another user view the sample later, the filtered analytes display by default. For other sample types and in the Sample Explorer, the filtering is not saved.
