Branch a Production and Demand Plan

Branching a plan copies the plan to create a new plan. All configuration is copied from the old plan. All data is copied from the old plan, except for planned despatch orders from before the branching date.

Security Note: You need the Allow planning maintenance security right in the Planning domain security rights group for this activity.

Activity Steps

1. Select the Supply Chain panel in the Solution Explorer.
2. Expand the Planning » Plan Categories node.
3. Right-click a production and demand plan and select Branch Plan from the menu.

   The duplicate Plan displays.

4. Update the Name.
5. Configure the plan as required.

   Note: The Planning Period, Plan UOM and Mass Basis cannot be modified in a branched plan.

6. Update the Plan Start Date and Plan End Date for the branched plan.
7. Update other configuration as required.
8. Click Save.
