Override the Planned Quantity for a Planning Period

Planned production is entered on a month-by-month basis on the Planned Production tab. To calculate the quantity per planning period (as displayed on the Worksheet tab), the month's quantity is divided by the number of planning periods in the month. Although these quantities cannot be edited on the Worksheet tab, they can be overridden via the Planned Quantity Override tab.

Security Note: You need the Allow planning maintenance security right in the Planning domain security rights group for this activity.

Activity Steps

1. Open the Plan.
2. Select the Planned Quantity Override tab.
3. To add a quantity override:
   1. Complete the following fields.
      • Date—Date of the planning period for which to override the calculated planned quantity. This date must be within the range of the Plan Start Date and Plan End Date.
      • Location—Select from the fulfilment locations specified on the Configuration tab.
      • Product—Select from the products that are applicable to the selected location, as specified on the Configuration tab.
      • Quantity Override—Planned quantity to be used in the plan worksheet instead of the calculated planned quantity, in the unit of measure specified in the plan configuration. You can enter positive or negative numbers.
   2. Click Add.
4. To edit an existing override, update the Quantity Override in the Quantity Overrides table.
5. Click Save.
6. To view the effect of the override on the production and demand plan:
   1. Select the Worksheet tab.
   2. Click Search or press F3.

      MineMarket imports the overridden planned quantity and recalculates subsequent values throughout the plan.

7. To delete a planned quantity override:
   1. Right-click the override in the Quantity Overrides table and select Delete from the menu.
   2. Click Save.
