Set up a Plan Category

Production and demand plans must belong to a plan category or sub-category.

Security Note: You need the Allow planning maintenance security right in the Planning domain security rights group for this activity.

Activity Steps

  1. Select the Supply Chain panel in the Solution Explorer.
  2. Expand the Planning node.
  3. Perform one of the following steps:
    1. To set up a top-level plan category, right-click the Plan Categories node and select New » Plan Category from the menu.
    2. To set up a plan sub-category, right-click a plan category and select New » Plan Category from the menu.
  4. Update the name of the plan category node if required.
  5. Click Save.
