View or Edit Planned Customer Deliveries

Planned deliveries per customer in the context of the planned production budget and actual production values.

This activity is not applicable for plans that have a Planning Period in the Calendar Properties that is greater than one month.

The Contract Types and Include Linked Despatch Orders settings in the plan configuration may limit the displayed despatch orders.

The plan must be rolled up to view up-to-date data.

Security Note: Assuming you can view the plan, no specific security right is required to view the planned customer deliveries. However, to edit the required quantities of despatch orders, you need the following security rights for this activity:

  • Allow planning maintenance in the Planning domain security rights group
  • Allow the user to maintain despatch orders in the Contracts domain security rights group

Activity Steps

  1. Open the Plan.
  2. Select the Planned Customer Delivery tab.
  3. Enter the following search criteria as required.
    • Start Date—These dates must be within the range of the Plan Start Date and Plan End Date.
    • End Date
    • Products—Select from the products and brands specified for the process flows in the plan.
    • Locations—Select from the destination locations of the process flows in the plan.
  4. Select whether to Use Actual Closing Inventory As Opening Inventory. If checked, the opening inventory is the Actual Closing Inventory of the previous period, which takes account of the actual stockpile balances, including adjustments from stockpile surveys. If unchecked, the opening inventory is the Closing Inventory of the previous period, which is calculated within the Planned Customer Delivery tab. Default: Unchecked.
  5. Click Search or press F3.

The Planned Customer Delivery table displays three sections with data for each month in the selected date range. All masses display in the unit of measure specified on the Configuration tab.

    1. The top section displays the Opening Inventory and compares the planned Production (and actual production if data is available) and the planned Production Budget.

The opening inventory is the amount of material available at the beginning of each month. For the first month of the plan:

      • If the plan's start date is in a future month, the opening inventory is the sum of the applicable stock location amounts entered on the Initial Stock tab.
      • If the plan's start date is in a past month or the current month, the opening inventory is the sum of the actual stock amounts for that month.

Although displayed per month, this mass is calculated daily. Actual production data for a day is used if it is available. Otherwise, a daily amount is calculated from monthly amount entered on the Planned Production tab.

The budgeted production for the selected locations and products for the month is as entered on the Planned Production Budget tab.

    2. The middle section displays the deliveries by Customer and Product. The masses are of planned and actual despatch orders for the customer and product combination. The logic to determine which despatch orders display on the Worksheet tab also applies for the Planned Customer Delivery tab.
    3. The bottom section compares the Closing Inventory and Actual Closing Inventory (if available).

The closing inventory is the amount of material available at the end of each month. This amount is calculated as the opening inventory plus production amounts minus delivered amounts during the month.

The actual closing inventory is the actual aggregated stock balances at the end of each month. If the current month is included in the search results, the actual closing inventory for that month is the actual aggregated stock balances at the current date and time. Not applicable to future months.

  6. To view the contracts applicable to a customer, either expand the customer row, or right-click in the Planned Customer Delivery table and select Expand All from the menu.
  7. To view a breakdown of the mass for a customer and product, click the hyperlink of the mass in the Planned Customer Delivery table.

The Breakdown View table displays details of the despatch orders for the selected period of time.

If the Planned Delivery Date and the Actual Fulfilment Date are in different months, the despatch order is included in the month of the Actual Fulfilment Date.

Note: The Planned Delivery Date is editable if Lock Date Field For Actual Despatch Orders is unchecked on the Configuration tab. Like on the Worksheet tab, if the date of a despatch order is changed in a plan, the date only affects the plan. The date is not updated on the actual despatch order. To edit the actual despatch order, open the Despatch Order by clicking the hyperlink of its name, and edit the details there.

  8. If Allow Updates To Despatch Order Required Quantities is checked on the Configuration tab, to update the required quantities:
    1. Display the Breakdown View for the period.
    2. Edit the Planned Quantity for one or more DOs for which the weight value source is Required Quantity.

Note: Hover the mouse pointer over the quantity to view the weight value source as a tooltip. Modified cells have a blue fill colour and a tooltip with the text "Required Quantity Modified".

Note: The required quantity of despatch orders with a closed or non-editable status (defined in the Despatch Order status definition) cannot be modified. See Status Definitions.

    3. If only one DO is modified, right-click the DO in the plan and select Update Required Quantity from the menu.

MineMarket updates the Contracted Demand of the DO on the worksheet and other data and totals as required.

    4. If multiple DOs are modified, right-click the plan and select Update All Required Quantities from the menu.

MineMarket updates the Contracted Demand of each DO on the worksheet and other data and totals as required.

  9. If any required quantity has been edited, click Save.

MineMarket updates the Required Quantity on the Despatch Order.
