Configure Supply and Demand Plan Opening Stock Sources

Security Note: You need the Allow Supply and Demand Plan Configuration security right in the Planning domain security rights group for this activity.

Activity Steps

1. Open the SD Plan Configuration screen.
2. Select the Opening Stock Sources tab.
3. To add a stockpile:
   1. Select the Supply Chain panel in the Solution Explorer.
   2. Expand the Supply Chain » Business Areas node.
   3. Drag the stockpile to the Opening Stock Sources field group.
   4. Select the Applicable Plan Products for the stockpile. Select from the planned products specified on the Planned Products and Groups tab. If a product belongs to multiple product groups, it can only be selected once.

      Even though a stockpile may have different products specified on the Stockpile screen, only the specified applicable plan products are used for the calculation of opening stocks for the supply and demand plan.

   5. If the stockpile is a 3D stockpile, select whether the Stockpile Product Type is Stockpile Product or Stacked Product (default).
4. To add a location:
   1. Select the Supply Chain panel in the Solution Explorer.
   2. Expand the Supply Chain » Business Areas node.
   3. Drag the location to the Opening Stock Sources field group.
   4. Select the Applicable Plan Products for the location.
5. To add a route:
   1. Select the Transport panel in the Solution Explorer.
   2. Expand the Routes node.
   3. Drag the route to the Opening Stock Sources field group.
   4. Select the Applicable Plan Products for the route.
   5. Select whether the Stockpile Product Type is Stockpile Product or Movement Product (default).
6. Click Save.
