Configure a Supply and Demand Plan Train Operator

Security Note: You need the Allow Supply and Demand Plan Configuration security right in the Planning domain security rights group for this activity.

Activity Steps

Open the SD Plan Configuration screen.
Select the Train Operators tab.
Right-click in the table and select New from the menu.
Expand the Transport Operators tree and select the train operator.
Note: You can also drag train operators from the Transport panel of the Solution Explorer to the Train Operators tab.
Complete the following fields.
- Default Delivery Quantity—Default delivery quantity in the specified unit of measure.
- Quantity UOM—Unit of measure for the default delivery quantity for the train operator. Select from the Mass units defined in the Unit Conversion Editor.
- Shortcut Code—Optional shortcut code for quick entry of transport operator quantities on the Whiteboard tab of the supply and demand plan. Shortcut codes must consist only of letters. Spaces, numbers and other symbols are not permitted. Codes are case insensitive, that is, either uppercase or lowercase letters can be used for data entry on the supply and demand plan. Example: A train operator with a default delivery quantity of 4000 tonnes is assigned a shortcut code of QR. On the Whiteboard tab of the supply and demand plan, a delivery quantity of 8000 tonnes (that is, 2 * 4000 tonnes) can be entered in any of the following formats:
