View or Enter Planning Periods

Security Note: Assuming you can view the plan, no specific security right is required to view planning periods. To modify planning periods, you need the Allow Supply and Demand Plan Execution security right in the Planning domain security rights group.

Activity Steps

1. Open the SD Plan.
2. Select the Planning Periods tab.

   The Start Date and Shift Definition display, as defined in the SD Plan Configuration screen.

3. To view planning periods:
   1. Select the Search option.
   2. Enter the Start Date and End Date for the search as required.
   3. Click Search.

      Note: The Start Dates and End Dates of planning periods are automatically calculated based on the length of the planning periods. The start date of the first planning period is the Start Date of the supply and demand plan. For second and subsequent planning periods, the planning period start date depends on the end date of the previous planning period.

4. To enter a planning period:
   1. Select the Modify option.
   2. Right-click in the Planning Periods table and select New from the menu.
   3. Complete the following fields.
      • Name
      • Number of Days
   4. Click Save.
5. To close the current planning period:
   1. Select the Modify option.
   2. Select the planning period.
   3. Click End Planning Period.
   4. Click Save.
