Extending the Process to Forward-push and Adjustment Reconciliation

Note: Forward-push for reconciliation is not currently implemented.

Back-push Reconciliation

In back-push reconciliation, or basic reconciliation, the process goes from the shipment to the mine source.

Diagram showing back-push reconciliation

Example: Back-push reconciliation result

Back-Push Reconciliation of ROMs
DMT Moisture WMT Data Source
Opening 5,000 30.9% 6,545 Locked from previous reconciliation
Inputs 657 30.0% 545 Reconciled values
Outputs 557 30.8% 729 Inherited from previous locations
Closing 5,100 30.8% 6,671 Surveyed values

Forward-push Reconciliation

In forward-push reconciliation, a business area location can be reconciled by adjusting the outputs instead of the inputs. By using the inputs, the closing and ending balances of the stockpiles, reconciliation outputs are calculated.

Example: Forward-push reconciliation results

Forward-Push Reconciliation of ROMs
DMT Moisture WMT Data Source
Opening 5,000 30.9% 6,545 Locked from previous reconciliation
Inputs 657 30.8% 859 Inherited from previous locations
Outputs 557 31.7% 734 Reconciled values
Closing 5,100 30.8% 6,671 Surveyed values

Adjustment Reconciliation

If inputs and outputs appear more accurate than the surveys realised at the stockpiles, the inputs and outputs can be fixed and an adjustment created to correct the surveys done at the stockpiles or business area location.

Example: Adjustment reconciliation results

Adjustment Reconciliation of ROMs
DMT Moisture WMT Data Source
Opening 5,000 30.9% 6,545 Locked from previous reconciliation
Inputs 657 30.9% 860 Inherited from previous locations
Outputs 550 30.8% 719 Inherited from previous locations
Adjustment 7 15 Reconciled values
Closing 5,100 30.8% 6,671 Surveyed values
