Perform a Reconciliation
After a reconciliation template has been partially or completely reconciled, the following limitations apply:
- Any transactions or surveys involving business area locations defined in the reconciliation template cannot be edited or deleted if they pre-date the latest reconciliation period.
- New transactions or surveys involving any of these business area locations cannot be added if they pre-date the latest reconciliation period.
- New stockpiles cannot be added to business area locations that have been reconciled.
- If a stockpile has been reconciled, the stockpile product can only be changed for dates after the end date of the latest reconciliation.
- The special surveys created by the reconciliation process (with survey reason code Recon, from the Survey Reason Code list items defined in the List Editor) cannot be edited or deleted.
Security Note: You need the Allow execution of TW reconciliation and Allow TW reconciliation maintenance security right in the Reconciliation user group security rights group for this activity.
Activity Steps
- Open the Reconciliation Run.
Only the highlighted fields may be modified. These are the tonnages in the stockpiles at the locations associated with the reconciliation.
- Enter the following search criteria as required.
- Start Date—The date from which to determine the current state of the locations associated with the reconciliation.
- End Date—The date up to which to determine the current state of the locations associated with the reconciliation.
The current tonnages for all stockpiles at the locations associated with the reconciliation display in the Reconciliation field group.
Note: Stockpiles that have been closed before the start date of the reconciliation are excluded from the reconciliation.
- Update the stockpile tonnages as required.
MineMarket calculates and displays the discrepancy between what should have been in each stockpile, based upon transactions, and what is actually in the stockpile.
- If the Recon Type in the reconciliation template is Factorise, right-click and select Factorise from the menu.
- If the Recon Type in the reconciliation template is Adjust, right-click and select Adjust from the menu.
- Confirm the reconciliation.
If transactions are re-calculated back to a negative flow, the reconciliation cannot proceed.
If no transactions exist for a product in the reconciliation period, no reconciliation can occur for that product. The following message displays: Unable to factorise the discrepancy for product A, as there are no transactions onto stockpile ROM for this recon period. An adjustment of x.x tonnes will be made to balance the discrepancy instead.
If the reconciliation does proceed, changes are made to all transactions for the product in the reconciliation period. MineMarket saves these changes automatically, and the following message displays: Reconciliation for this period is now complete.
The Quantity held at the location displays for each product and the Tonnage displays for the location.
- Opening—The opening tonnage
- Closing—The closing tonnage
- Net Change—The net change in tonnage
- Inputs—The input tonnage from the listed process flows.
- Outputs—The output tonnage.
- Adjustments—The adjustment in tonnage.
- Discrepancy—The discrepancy in tonnage, affected by changing the closing balance, and set to zero when a correct adjustment is made.
