The Process of Reconciliation
Reconciliation is performed periodically, usually once or more a month.
The surveys and samples taken for each stockpile in the supply chain at the end of the reconciliation period comprise the input data for the reconciliation.
Using Several Configurations Simultaneously
Each process of reconciliation proposes different alternatives of reconciliation. These alternatives extend the modelling of business scenarios. You can mix these alternative configurations. For example, a location can be reconciled by product in a forward push reconciliation where multiple out process flows will be reconciled using a confidence level as a separation criterion. All combinations are possible.
Furthermore, if a reconciliation process is to be applied to a complete supply chain, it is possible to reconcile each group of locations in a specific order, using the results of previous reconciliations for each group of locations. Each group of locations in a reconciliation has a different configuration, according to confidence levels of its associated process flows or a particular business scenario.
