Set up an Equipment Item

Security Note: You need the Allow equipment maintenance security right in the Equipment domain security rights group for this activity.

Activity Steps

  1. Select the Supply Chain panel in the Solution Explorer.
  2. Expand the Equipment » Equipment Categories node.
  3. Right-click an equipment category and select New » Equipment from the menu.

    The Equipment displays.

  4. Update the Name if required.
  5. Complete the following fields as required.
    • Description
    • Make—Select from the Equipment Make list items defined in the List Editor.
    • Model—Select from the Equipment Model list items defined in the List Editor.
    • Capacity and Unit—Select from the Volume units defined in the Unit Conversion Editor.
    • Target Repair Time and Unit—Select from the Time units defined in the Unit Conversion Editor.
    • Owner Organisation—Select from the organisations and companies defined on the Organisations panel of the Solution Explorer.
    • Asset Number
    • Serial Number
    • Operational Start Time
    • Operational End Time
  6. Click Save.
