Create a Truck

Security Note: You need the Allow truck despatch maintenance security right in the Trucks domain security rights group for this activity.

Activity Steps

1. Select the Transport panel in the Solution Explorer.
2. Expand the Trucks » Truck Categories node.
3. Right-click a truck category and select New » Truck from the menu.

   The Truck displays.

4. Complete the following fields as required.
   • Name
   • Truck Type—Select from the truck types on the Transport panel of the Solution Explorer.
   • Owner—Select from the organisations and companies defined on the Organisations panel of the Solution Explorer that have the Organisation Role of Truck Owners.
   • Make—Select from the Truck Make list items defined in the List Editor.
   • Model—Select from the Truck Model list items defined in the List Editor.
   • Registration Number
5. To enter typical tonnage history for a truck that will be used to move product:
   1. Right-click in the Typical Tonnage History table and select New from the menu.
   2. Enter the Value in metric tonnes and the Applicable Date.
6. To enter typical volume history for a truck that will be used to move waste material:
   1. Right-click in the Typical Volume History table and select New from the menu.
   2. Enter the Value in metric tonnes and the Applicable Date.
7. Click Save.
