Create a Service Trip Without Using a Template

Security Note: You need the Allow new barge despatch from explorer security right in the Despatches user group security rights group for this activity.

Activity Steps

  1. Open the Barge Explorer.
  2. Right-click in the Timetable tab and select New from the menu.

    The Service Trip displays.

  3. Update the Service Trip name if required.
  4. Ensure that a Barge Name is assigned to the service trip. Select from the barges defined on the Transport panel of the Solution Explorer. To change the barge after (un)loading, see Change the Barge Assigned to a Service Trip.

    Note: The service trip cannot be loaded until a Barge Name is assigned.

  5. Complete the following fields as required.
    • Tug—Select from the tugs defined on the Transport panel of the Solution Explorer.
    • Despatch Number
    • Captain
    • Chief Engineer
    • Planned Product—Select from the products and brands defined on the Material panel of the Solution Explorer.
  6. Click Save.

    Note: If the Service Trip status definition exists, the service trip is assigned the initial status. This status definition controls whether the service trip is editable and selectable. See Status Definitions.
