Empty a Bulk Package Group from a Despatch onto a Stockpile

Use this activity to empty material from a container or bulk package group on a despatch to a destination stockpile, without unloading the container or bulk package group itself.

An alternative activity is to associate the bulk package group with a bulk unloading transaction on the despatch. This alternative also creates an emptying transaction on the bulk package group, and removes the bulk package group from the despatch. For example activity steps, see Unload Bulk Material from a Shipment.

Security Note: Depending on the despatch type, you need the applicable security right for this activity:

  • Allow train loading/unloading in the Trains domain security rights group
  • Allow truck loading/unloading in the Trucks domain security rights group
  • Allow barge loading/unloading in the Barge Despatches domain security rights group
  • Allow shipment loading/unloading in the Shipments domain security rights group

Activity Steps

  1. Open the Train, Truck Despatch, Service Trip or Shipment.
  2. Select the unloading route point in the Route diagram.
  3. Ensure that Loading / Unloading in the despatch header field group is Unloading. This setting depends on the route configuration.
  4. Select the Package Unloading tab; or for a shipment, the Package Unloading sub-tab of the Logistics tab.
  5. Select the Empty Containers sub-tab.
  6. Enter the following search criteria as required.
    • Start Date
    • End Date
    • Product
    • Storage Type—Select from Bulk Only and Packages Only.
    • Name—Text searches are case-sensitive with SQL databases with a case-sensitive collation and with all Oracle databases.
    • Despatch Order—Select from the despatch orders associated with the despatch. If set to All, the search returns package groups associated with any despatch order that is on the despatch, and any package groups that are not associated with a despatch order. If set to a child despatch order, the search returns package groups associated with that child despatch order and its parent despatch order. If set to a parent despatch order, the search returns package groups associated with that parent despatch order and its child despatch orders.
  7. Click Search or press F3.

The parent discrete unit package groups containing one or more child containers or bulk package groups, which are located on the despatch and match the filter criteria, display in the Container field group on the Empty Containers sub-tab.

  8. To select other containers or bulk package groups that are to be moved at the same time when a drag-and-drop action is performed, check Selected for each container to include in the move.
  9. Enter the Default Movement Date.
  10. Expand the Process Flow » Stock Location or Packing Process Flow » Stock Location tree in the Destinations field group.

The Destinations field group contains all process flows or packing process flows that exist between the unloading location and the various destination locations.

  11. Drag one of the selected containers or package groups to the required destination.

If Start Unloading - Actual on the Route Plan tab is not yet defined for the route point, MineMarket updates it with the date and time of the first movement.

  12. Update the following details for the emptying transaction if required.
    • Transaction Date
    • Source
    • Destination
  13. Click Save.
