View Ship and Barge Line-ups

This activity presumes that port locations have been configured with berths.

The line-ups of service trips with routes based on a barge terminal should be viewed with the Barge Line-up Explorer.

Security Note: You need the Allow the user to view the Ship and Barge Lineup Explorer security right in the Menu user group security rights group for this activity.

Activity Steps

  1. Open the Ship And Barge Line-up Explorer.
  2. Enter the following search criteria as required.
    • Start Date
    • End Date
    • Port Location—Select from the port locations defined on the Supply Chain panel of the Solution Explorer.
    • Show—Operation for which to show berthing dates. Select from Loading, Unloading and Both.
    • Show Ship As—Label type for shipments. Select from Despatch Name and Vessel Name.
    • View Mode—Select from Ships And Barges, Ships Only and Barges Only.
  3. Click View.

    Any shipments and service trips that do not yet have an assigned berth display on the Unassigned Shipments and Unassigned Barge Despatches tabs.

  4. Hover the mouse pointer over a shipment or service trip to view details, including the route plan and despatch quality.

    Note: Tooltip analytes and the colour of shipments and service trip can be specified. See Specify Vessel Line-up Settings and Specify Barge Line-up Settings.

  5. To edit a shipment or service trip, double-click the shipment or service trip.

    The Shipment or Service Trip displays.

  6. To edit a berth, right-click the berth and select Edit Berth from the menu.
  7. To export a line-up diagram as an image:
    1. Right-click the line-up diagram and select Save Image to File from the menu.
    2. Enter the name of the file and select the file format (GIF, BMP or PNG).
    3. Click Save.
  8. To print a line-up diagram:
    1. Right-click the line-up diagram and select Print Preview from the menu.
    2. Adjust the page layout and page setup as required.
    3. Click Print.
