Disable or Enable an Account in a Chart of Accounts

Disabled accounts cannot be used for new journals. However, disabled accounts can be used if you revert a journal that was created while the account was enabled.

Security Note: You need the Allow the maintenance of chart of accounts and account groups security right in the Accounting user group security rights group for this activity.

Activity Steps

1. Open the Chart Of Accounts screen.
2. Select the Chart Of Accounts tab.
3. Select the relevant Document Type.
4. Select the chart of accounts. See Set up a Chart of Accounts.
5. Select the account. See Set up Accounts for a Chart of Accounts.
6. Select whether the account is Enabled. Default: Checked.
7. Click Save.
