Create Linked Despatch Orders Manually
This activity is required if the configuration of the contract link has the Contract Link Evaluation set to Manual. See Linked Contracts.
If the source DO is a parent despatch order (PDO), when linked PDOs are created, the linked child despatch orders (CDOs) are also created. That is, the PDO/CDO relationship in the source and linked contracts is identical. If Contract Link Evaluation set to Manual, do this activity on the source PDO to ensure that linked CDOs are also created. However, if more CDOs are created later for the source PDO, this activity can be done on either the source PDO or source CDOs to create the missing linked CDOs.
If Contract Link Evaluation set to Despatch Order Creation, linked DOs are created automatically for new DOs. However, this activity can be used to manually create linked DOs for source DOs that were created before the contract link configuration was complete, or if a previously created linked DO is unlinked.
Security Note: You need the Allow the user to maintain despatch orders security right in the Contracts domain security rights group for this activity.
