Associate Discrete Units Directly with a Despatch Order

Do not use this activity if the despatch order (DO) is associated with a despatch (for example, train or shipment). If the DO is associated with a despatch, use the Package Loading tab of the despatch to load discrete units. The Direct Loading tab of the DO will then display loaded packages; however, the packages that are selected cannot be changed.

For child despatch orders (CDOs) of a consignment parent despatch order (CPDO), only packages associated with the CPDO can be selected. Each package can only be associated with one CDO. See Consignment Parent Despatch Orders.

For non-consignment DOs, packages with a discrete unit movement can be searched for and selected. Each package can only be associated with one DO.

Packages that are associated directly with a DO cannot be unloaded.

Security Note: You need the Allow the user to maintain despatch orders security right in the Contracts domain security rights group for this activity.
