Override Contractual Costs and Service Charges for a Despatch Order

Important:

  • If you override budgeted costs and their rate details with this activity, only these rate details are included in snapshot calculations.
  • If you override costs and service charges and their rate details with this activity, only these rate details are included in snapshot and invoice calculations. Any costs and service charges added on the Service Charges tab of the despatch order or on an associated despatch are ignored.
  • An alternative to this activity is to copy contractual costs and service charges to the Service Charges tab of the despatch order and override the rate details there. A setting in the Options screen can simplify overriding of contractual cost rate details in despatch orders. See Specify Sales and Marketing Settings.

Overrides and contract charges specified for an aggregated parent despatch order (APDO), consignment parent despatch order (CPDO) or split parent despatch order (SPDO) also apply to any child despatch orders (CDOs) (unless the CDOs have their own overrides). See Parent and Child Despatch Orders.

Budgeted costs, costs and service charges can also be copied and pasted. See Costs and Service Charges.

Security Note: You need the Allow the user to maintain despatch orders and Allow the user to override service charges for despatch orders security rights in the Contracts domain security group for this activity. For overriding costs, you also need the Allow the user to maintain costs security right in the Contracts domain security group.
