Update the Person in Charge for Despatch Orders

If a Person In Charge (PIC) is selected on a sales or purchase contract when the despatch order is created, the Person In Charge is copied to the despatch order. The PIC can be updated for a despatch order if required.

Use this activity to update the PIC for one or multiple DOs from the Despatch Order Explorer. You can also update the PIC for a despatch order when you Edit Despatch Order Details.

Security Note: You need the Allow the user to maintain despatch orders security right in the Contracts domain security rights group for this activity.

Activity Steps

  1. Open the Despatch Order Explorer.
  2. Search for despatch orders.
  3. To update the PIC for a single despatch order, right-click a despatch order and select Update Person In Charge from the menu.
  4. To update the PIC for multiple despatch orders:
    1. Select multiple despatch orders.
    2. Right-click in the Despatch Orders table and select Update Person In Charge from the menu.
  5. The Person In Charge Update screen displays. Select a Person In Charge from the users with appropriate domain access defined on the Supply Chain panel of the Solution Explorer. You can enter text to filter the displayed user names.
  6. Click OK.
  7. Click Save.
