Bill of Lading Report

The Bill of Lading report displays the conditions of carriage (CONGENBILL 1994 edition) and a summary of a selected shipment.

The report is designed to work best with shipment despatches that have a single sales or purchase despatch order and a route with one loading and one unloading despatch point.

The report definition is stored in the BillOfLading.xml file.

Parameters

The Bill of Lading report contains the following default parameters:

Report View

The Bill of Lading report has four sections:

Logo

The logo is retrieved from the organisation or company specified as the Logo Organisation for the BTLogo data table in the report configuration.

If no Logo Organisation is selected, the logo is retrieved from the organisation or company with an Alias2 of 'SITE'. If no such organisation or company exists, or if the organisation or company with Alias2 of 'SITE' does not contain a logo, the Datamine logo displays on the report.

General Clauses

The general clauses describe the conditions of carriage. The wording is from the CONGENBILL 1994 edition.

Shipment Despatch Data

The shipment despatch page includes the following data within a standard layout. Brackets () indicate that the data displays without a separate heading.

Data	Description
Shipper	The name of the seller organisation or company for the sales or purchase contract associated with the despatch order on the shipment.
(Shipper's address)	The business address of the shipper.
B/L No.	The bill of lading number of the despatch order on the shipment.
(Type)	The bill of lading type, as selected in the report parameters.
Reference No.	No data displays for this heading.
Consignee	The name of the buyer organisation or company for the sales or purchase contract associated with the despatch order on the shipment.
(Consignee's address)	The business address of the consignee.
Notify Address	The name of the consignee.
(Notify Address)	The postal address of the consignee.
Vessel	The name of the vessel assigned to the shipment.
Ship Loading Location	The name of the loading despatch point in the route of the shipment.
Ship Unloading Location	The name of the unloading despatch point in the route of the shipment.
Shipper's description of goods	The name of the nominated product of the despatch order.
SAID TO WEIGH	The final quantity of the despatch order in metric tonnes and long tonnes, written out in words.
Freight payable as per CHARTER PARTY dated	No data displays for this heading.

Time used for loading - days	The difference between the actual start of loading and the actual end of loading, expressed as a number of days.
Time used for loading - hours	The difference between the actual start of loading and the actual end of loading, expressed as a number of hours.
SHIPPED	A standard paragraph of text.
Freight payable at	No data displays for this heading.
Number of original Bs/L	No data displays for this heading.
Place and date of issue	The name of the loading despatch point in the route of the shipment. No date displays.
