Configure Ribbon Tabs for a User Group

For a particular user group, the following ribbon tabs can be hidden and reordered:

• Inventory Ribbon Tab
• Logistics Ribbon Tab
• Sales and Marketing Ribbon Tab
• Trading and Risk Ribbon Tab
• System Admin Ribbon Tab
• View Ribbon Tab
• Tools Ribbon Tab

The position of the Help Ribbon Tab is configurable.

Important: Hiding a ribbon tab does not completely restrict access to the icons on that ribbon tab. Individual users can still access icons on hidden tabs if they customise their own quick access toolbar. See Menus.

Security Note: You need the Allow user maintenance security right in the Security user group security rights group for this activity.

Activity Steps

1. Open the User Group.
2. Select the Ribbon Tab Configuration tab.
3. To hide an individual ribbon tab, check Is Hidden for the specific ribbon tab. The Application and Help ribbon tabs cannot be hidden.
4. To display an individual ribbon tab, uncheck Is Hidden for the specific ribbon tab.
5. To reorder the tab display, right-click a ribbon tab name and select Move Tab Up or Move Tab Down from the menu as required.

   The Application ribbon tab can only be in position #0 in the Sequence.

   The ribbon tab configured to be in position #1 is the default ribbon tab that displays when users log into MineMarket.

6. To reset the tab display, right-click and select Restore Ribbon Tab Defaults from the menu.
7. Click Save.
