Create a Domain

Security Note: You need the Allow domain maintenance security right in the Security user group security rights group for this activity.

Activity Steps

1. Select the Supply Chain panel in the Solution Explorer.
2. Expand the Security node.
3. Right-click the Domain node and select New Domain from the menu.

   The Domain displays.

4. Enter the Domain name.

   The Global Domain is the default domain used by all users.

5. Expand each node in the Solution Explorer tree for the domain.
6. Check the Node for each object that is to be viewable under this domain.
7. Click Save.

Alternative Activity Steps

1. To check to which domains an object is visible:
   1. If the object is a node, select the node in the Solution Explorer.
   2. If the object is a contract category, select the contract category in the Contract Category text list on the List Editor.
   3. If the object is a sample template for a Process Flow, Packing Process Flow or Movement Flow, select the sample template in the applicable screen.
   4. Display the Property Window.

      If the object is a domain object, the Allow Domains property is True. The Domains property lists the assigned domains.

2. To edit the domains for which an object is visible:
   1. Click the ellipsis (...) in the Domains property.

      The Domain Editor displays.

   2. Check Assigned for the required domains.
   3. Click OK.
   4. Click Save.
