Translations

You can use translations to customise all MineMarket screen prompts, pop-ups and labels to better suit your company, languages, cultural preferences and nomenclature.

Translations are defined using translation sets, which can be created within MineMarket or imported from an extensible markup language (XML) or a comma-separated values (CSV) file.

You can create multiple translation sets. A company operating in multiple regions may define several translation sets and assign the required translation sets to the applicable users or user groups.

Translations can apply to the following user interface categories:

  • Business object screen names
  • Exception descriptions
  • Form screen names
  • Global strings
  • Diagram object screen names
  • GUI module management menu options
  • Enumerators
  • Other miscellaneous text

You can create or import translation sets. To test a translation set, assign the translation set to a user group or to a user. If no translated text has been entered for an item in the translation set, when this translation set is used, the 'native' text displays.

Note: Translations have no impact on the MineMarket Help and other official documentation, which refer to all user interface text using the 'native' text. Customising the user interface text may make it harder for users to follow activities described in the MineMarket Help.
