Audit Trail

The audit trail is a chronological record or 'log' of the activity that occurs within the MineMarket application. The purpose of an audit trail is to provide a detailed and traceable history of user interactions, system activities, modification of objects and data, and other relevant events, which is important for compliance, security and technical troubleshooting purposes.

All MineMarket objects changed via the Application Client are audited; however, only a specific subset of object changes made by the Application Server are logged.

The audit trail contains records of activity in MineMarket, including the:

  • Date and time
  • User (domain and username)
  • MineMarket object type
  • MineMarket object ID and Alias1 value
  • Name of the MineMarket object, if applicable
  • Action (insertion, update, deletion)
  • Detailed description of the changed MineMarket database fields

If MineMarket objects are changed on the server side, most objects are excluded from auditing (for example, when down-streaming occurs). However, the following object types are always audited:

  • Warehouse Settings
  • Email Notifications
  • Alerts
  • Archiving

Server-side changes that are audited are logged against the SYSTEM USER.
