Run the MineMarket Setup Wizard for a Customised Server Installation

Use this activity to run the setup wizard to install only selected MineMarket components, with the option of changing the installation folder.

Note: This activity presumes that MineMarket is not currently installed on the system.

This installation can be used to install only the MineMarket Server components. This can include the creation of the following services:

  • MineMarket Service
  • MineMarket Marketing Service
  • MineMarket Export and Reports Service
  • MineMarket Search Service
  • MineMarket Information Services (MineMarket Data Mart Service, MineMarket Data Mart Agent, MineMarket Data Service and MineMarket Reporting Service)

The installation of these services may be distributed across multiple machines if required.

The location of the installation folder can be changed from the default location: C:\Program Files\Datamine\MineMarket 5.6

Activity Steps

  1. Run the setup file in the MineMarket installation package.

    The setup wizard displays.

  2. Click Next.

    Important: The MineMarket setup wizard checks whether some prerequisite components (for example, for Crystal Reports) are installed. If these prerequisite components are not already installed, the MineMarket setup wizard opens a separate installation for them. Follow the prompts if required or contact your System Administrator for assistance.

  3. Click Next.
  4. Select Custom for a customised installation of the software.
  5. Select the components to install:
    1. To install only the MineMarket Server components, click the MineMarket 5.6 Client node and select Entire feature will be unavailable.
    2. Click the MineMarket 5.6 Server Components node and select Entire feature will be installed on local hard drive.
    3. To exclude the installation of a service (for example, because the service will be installed on a different machine), click the service subnode and select Entire feature will be unavailable.
  6. To change the location of the installation folder:
    1. Click Browse.
    2. Navigate to and select the installation folder.
    3. Click OK.
  7. To check the available space on disk drives:
    1. Click Disk Usage.

      A dialog box displays the size and space available on each disk on the installation machine.

    2. Click OK.
  8. Click Next.
  9. Click Install.
  10. Click Finish.
  11. Click Close.
