Display Messages in the Message Log Viewer

If a publisher sends a message type that is subscribed to by more than one subscriber, there will be an entry for each subscriber in the message log table.

Activity Steps

1. On the toolbar, click Message Log Viewer.

   The Message Log Viewer displays.

2. Select whether to search by when messages were received or published.
3. Update the Start Date and End Date if required.
4. Limit the search to selected message types if required:
   • Message Schema Groups
   • Message Schemas
   • Publishers
   • Subscribers
5. To search by a text string, enter the Message Content and select whether the search is Case Sensitive.
6. Click Refresh.

   The messages for the specified search criteria display.

7. To view a detailed error message and stack trace, hover the mouse pointer over the Message Type column.
8. To view more details about a message, double-click the message.

   The Message Viewer displays the XML content of the message and information about its status.

9. To group the rows in the table by a specified column, drag a column header to the area indicated at the top of the grid. The grid can be grouped by one or more columns.
10. To sort the table by a column, click that column's heading.
