Managing File System Watch Tasks

File system watch tasks run when a file of a specific file type is copied or moved into a specified folder.

The configuration of each task has a File System Event Settings section with the following fields.

  • Name—You can rename the task.
  • Watch Path—The folder path where IMS Integration Hub looks for files to process.
  • Processing Path—The folder path to which IMS Integration Hub moves the file before processing the file.
  • Processed Path—The folder path to which IMS Integration Hub moves the file if the file is successfully processed.
  • Error Path—The folder path to which IMS Integration Hub moves the file if there is an error when it is processed.
  • File Filter—The file types that the IMS Integration Hub Service looks for in the watch path. Examples:
    • *.xls
    • *.doc
    • AURCategory*.csv
  • Retry Attempts—The number of times IMS Integration Hub should try to complete the task. Default: 3.
  • Retry Wait—The amount of time, in seconds, that IMS Integration Hub waits after a failed attempt before retrying the task. Default: 20 seconds.
  • Log Successful Runs—Whether to log each successful run of the task.
  • Disable Event—You can configure the task but have it disabled if required.
